Neighbourhood Description

Hollow Way Recreation Park is right behind this Ground floor 2 bed Oxford apartment. So if you’re seeking a peaceful location that’s far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Cowley Road and Oxford city centre to give you peace and quiet, but near enough to make reaching these places easy, this home is for you.

The park behind the property has an outdoor gym if you’re that way inclined, or if you fancy a round of golf, bring your clubs and play at the nearby Oxford Golf Club. Shoppers will be glad to know that there are local stores on the eclectic Cowley Road just a few minutes away, and there are even more shops, bars and restaurants a little further afield in Oxford city centre. It’s there that you’ll find the places of historic interest and seats of learning that make Oxford such an iconic destination. There are also plenty of attractions to keep visitors looking for something more modern happy too – including theatres, and cinemas.

Also, if you’re looking for somewhere to stay that will let you be near a friend or family member who’s having treatment at one of the local hospitals, you are very welcome to stay here. So too are work colleagues wanting to be near Oxford Business Park or other business districts in the area.

Getting Around

The car is certainly the preferred mode of transport for most guests, as the apartment is just 2 minutes from the Eastern Bypass which links to the A40. A car also makes it easy to access places nearby, including Bicester and the racecourse at Newbury. A little further afield, you can access the Midlands and London via other major road routes.

You’ll be able to catch bus services too, as there’s a bus stop near the apartment that’ll take you into Oxford city centre. You could always bring a bike or hire one while you’re here and cycle around the Oxford area which is pretty flat. It’s up to you!

Train-wise, Oxford station is not too far away and it’s from there that you can access London, Manchester, Winchester, Bournemouth and other UK destinations. There’s also a regular coach service into central London from Oxford.
